A fireplace feature wall with built-in shelving and cabinetry in a Kanata townhouse, plus lit display units, the same millwork discipline as a media wall.
Project Overview & Execution
A linear electric fireplace was set into a built-up wall, with open shelving and closed base cabinets built to either side so the whole elevation reads as one piece rather than furniture pushed against a wall.
Lighting is integrated into the joinery rather than added afterwards, which is what keeps the wiring out of sight. The same approach carries into the tall display cabinets, where the glass fronts are lit from within.
Photographed mid-fit, with floor protection down. The site is kept covered and swept while the work is live.
